Socrates

A famous quote by Socrates, "True knowledge exists in knowing that you know nothing."

I was in the shower today and I remembered this quote, and I thought more about it than I ever had before.

I came to the conclusion that I agree with this statement.

When people come to the belief that they are right, they often become convinced that their way is the only way, that what they think is the only truth and anyone who disagrees with them is wrong. You start to become ignorant to outside opinion and in some cases even hard solid fact.
Things most people accept as common knowledge are always liable to change. You can't be so convinced that you are right, that you do not acknowledge that you may be wrong. By acknowledging that you may be wrong is the first step to true understanding.

I began to ponder this when I took a look at people while arguing about politics. For the most part, Politics are 100% opinion. Democrats or Liberals will always think one way and Republicans or Conservatives will always think another way. Which one is right? Which side is true? I would have to say neither, or both. It depends on how you look at it, how you were raised and what your belief systems are.

Well that was what I had to say, you can believe it or not. Either way its still my opinion and might not necessarily be true to you.
